World Record holder Blake Leeper is a double amputee with a shot at the 2020 Olympic roster. No thats not a typo, we didn’t say Paralympic, he’s already won all the medals and smashed the records there. Blake wants to win gold at the Olympics and he’s not stopping until he gets it. Unfortunately Blakes quest has been stalled by what he calls racism in the Court of Appeals for Sports. You see the It ruled that World Athletics could stop him from competing since his prosthetic leges gave him an unfair advantage, making him taller than if he were born with legs. Problem with that ruling is the data used to get their findings was compiled from European and Asian men, not anyone of African decent. Blake has an amazing story and is one of the most positive people you could ever meet. Everyone could learn a thing or two from this sporting hero.
Combo sports : Combining old sports losing their lustre to make a new sport.
Box Cycling (BC) is a full-contact combat cycling sport that allows both striking and grappling while cycling along a 5 Kilometre track. The first documented use of the term Box Cycling was during a cycle road rage incident in Newtown, Sydney Australia 1994. The question of who actually created Box Cycling is subject to debate.
The latest exciting Combo Sport to be created is Box Cycling. Two sports that were hard to get a crowd at during the last Olympics are made relevant again in this exciting bout between Australia and England. Combo sport athletes Mike Goldman and Matt Hollywood go toe to toe and pedal to pedal in this championship bout.
Our Australian Olympians and Coaches have been copping it from all angles for crying too much, throwing Kebabs and generally under performing in what is being called our worst Olympic performance in 20 years. Not fair!! Its time to stop focusing on the negative and look for the silver lining people. We are actually coming 4th beating the worlds number 1 silver producer MEXICO in the Silver medal tally. Plus, silver is worth more than gold in some cases. Where? Well um, what about if you were being attacked by a werewolf or a vampire? in that case silver would be worth more than gold, it could even save your life. There you go. Also our Olympians already beat all 22 million people in Australia to GET to the Olympics, so lets take a gander at all the lazy countries with bigger populations that we are beating in the medal tally. Like Indonesia for example, for a very disciplined country Indonesia have 242,325,638 people and are at 43rd in the medal tally so far. India have over a billion, they have nukes, but no Gold! Come on Aussies, lets celebrate the countries we’re beating in the medal tally 😉
