Okay, after years of people hitting me up about getting into the industry I’ve finally decided to do a TV workshop to help people learn the in’s and outs of the industry.
On Monday night I was out in front of 15,000 fans at Brookvale Oval in Sydney honoring two of the Manly Sea Eagles greats. Bob Fulton and Steven “Beaver” Menzies. The club has names the southern stand after them and I was lucky enough to score the job of announcing it to the entire stadium alongside two legends of the game. It was a massive night because it was also Beavers last game before the finals. Manly ended up winning by about 20 points and I scored a Manly jersey autographed by the whole team for helping out. Very cool! I have been a Manly fan since I was about seven and was the clubs first Mascot when I was thirteen. Well, not me personally, but I did dress up in the bird suit. My dad Grant has been the ground announcer there for twenty five years and my brother and sister usually work on the big video screen and audio for all the home games. Yeah, so the family is the cheer squad. Manly are now top of the table after beating the Titans and hopefully will kick ass in the finals. Stay cool peeps. Mikey G
